I hope this helps others struggling as I did! In reply to auggy’s post on June 9, Could insipron be a bad update? In any case it seems connected to that SST thing, when I rolled back it removed all SST lines and restored the old drivers that had a completely different name.
There’s a realtek driver but when I try to update it, device manager closes. You are not directly subscribed to this bug’s notifications.

This is more of a hardware driver related issue. In Realtek HD Audio Manager, click the gear icon on the bottom right, and make sure “Mute the internal output device when an external headphone plugged in” is enabled. There’s mainly Microsoft drivers when I show hidden devices.

I just had to roll back that update reinstall drivers as well and audio is working fine again.
